Stephen M. Yoss Jr, CPA
President & Founder

Stephen M. Yoss, Jr. is a founding partner and principal of MantisPRO, a technology company that focuses on cloud computing and communication for the accounting profession. Stephen has consulted with businesses on how to lower overhead, personnel, and compliance costs by investing in technology and reengineering their business practices. He teaches his clients to embrace technology at every opportunity in order to increase efficiency and productivity. MantisPRO designs and builds cloud based workspaces for companies to conduct all their operations virtually. 

Prior to starting MantisPRO, Stephen worked as an accountant in his family’s accounting practice, Yoss Allen Jonavic CPA’s. While working there he became a Certified Public Accountant and completely redesigned the firm’s technology practices. Many of the technologies he consults on today were first designed, perfected and implemented in his family’s practice and with their clients. 

Stephen began working with technology at age ten, and started his first IT company at age 13 designing websites for local businesses. He started writing original computer code at age 15 and has been programming ever since. Stephen is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and holds degrees in Accountancy and International Business. While at Loyola Marymount University he served the campus as Vice-President for Technology, Student Body President and as a representative to the Board of Trustees. He lives in Claremont, California.

John W. Allen, CPA
Director

John graduated with an accounting degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 1996 and became a certified public accountant in 1999. John is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. John became a partner with the accounting firm in 2005 and currently serves as vice-president and secretary. John currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Claremont Chapter of the American Red Cross, is a member of the Claremont Rotary International Club, and is a member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.

John has experience with accounting and tax matters. He works closely with his clients and devotes a majority of his time assisting clients with financial and tax issues. He is proficient in all aspects related to small businesses and can address the issues that matter the most.

Steve graduated with an accounting degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 1969 and became a certified public accountant in 1974. Steve is a life member and past state president of the Society of California Accountants. Steve became a partner with the accounting firm in 1975 and currently serves as president and managing partner.

Having practiced accounting in excess of 35 years, Steve has a broad range of experience and qualifications. He maintains current with his educational requirements and he takes pride in keeping current with the law and trends affecting our clients and industry. Steve owned and operated the Successful CPA Institute for 17 years, a leading provider of continuing education for CPAs nationwide. He currently serves as a board member for the Claremont Community Foundation, officer for the Pomona Valley Protective Association, and as a member of the OLA Administrative Council.
